The following are "base" points, Choose 1 of each section.

Headshots & Halfbodies | 1pt
25-75% of the horse is visible.
​
Full Body | 2pts
Must show 80-100% of the horse
​

Shaded | +1pts
Shows minimal shading, shadows and or highlights.

Rendered | +3pts
Must show shading/highlights/lowlights and other rendering details.

Background | 2pts
Backgrounds must contain details with a minimum of 3 fields. Drop shadows, silhouettes, single or gradient colored flats will not count.

Complex Background | 4pts
Illustrations with clearly defined foreground, middle ground and background, complex lighting, and attention to detail.
Simple BG | Has details within 3 fields. Minimum requirement for Bg points.

Training | 3pts
Training Image must be full body images of the horse and a handler/rider*. Must be the horse in question. Can be used for extra show images.
*Handlers or riders must be more than ½ body and may not be a stick figure, blob, or other unidentifiable object.

Show Entries | 5pts
Show entries must be full body to count for experience. Show entries must clearly link to the official show journal or results at the top of the artist comments.

Group Based Prompts | 5pts
Pop up Challenge events will be announced via discord/group bulletin. Entering in those grants you 5pts automatically.

The following are "add-on" points & they Stack with everything else
​
Extra Horse | 1pt
+1pt for every extra horse(1/2 body at minimum) in the picture.
​
Tack | 2pts
Full standard tack, must be more than a halter, Cannot use this addon if the image is for a show. If handler is visible, use "Training" .
​
Literature/Story | +1 experience for every 400 words [see Lit section for more info & Points]
​
Small Animations | +1pts.
Animations must be done on the horse. Includes eye blinks, tail flicks, nose flairs, etc.
​
Complex Animations | +3pts
Horse & Background Animations. Includes head movement, leg movement, etc.
​
Full Animations | +6pts
Illustration Animations, Includes run cycles, rearing, bucking, etc.
PHOTO MANIPS & PHOTOBASHES

Points are based on how much manipulation was done (ex, how many different photos got mashed together, how much stuff did you paint over, how complex is the scene). For elements to count, they all have to look well blended in, like a cohesive image.

Base points
Headshot/HalfBodies| +1pt
1/4 - 3/4th of the horse is visible.

Fullbody| +2pt
1/4 - 3/4th of the horse is visible.

Game Screenshots | +1pt
Must be scenic—cannot be multiple shots in same location. Horse in screenshot must resemble your American Cattle Horse

Either you brought in a gamehorse or you paint over it to resemble your ACH

Game Screenshots cannot use the Background points UNLESS you add more background elements/photos/etc. (same for the other add on categories, you must alter the screencap in someway shape or form)

Backgrounds must contain details with 1-3 Images.

2+ Images used, Painted elements, attention to lighting, detail, and composition.

The rest of the points can be added on like with regular art points.

Please be mindful of the category stipulations, I understand hand drawn art and photomanips are different in their own ways.

Just because the Game Screenshot has tack, does not mean you get the tack bonus UNLESS you change it up. etc etc.

LITERTAURE POINTS & ROLEPLAYS

Base points
Literature | +1pt for every 400 words.
May be posted in any language* but the horse must be the main focus of the story.
*Stories will be translated to English for word count.
​
Extra Horse | +1pts for extra horses, needs to be ~200 words per extra horse
Must have them be secondary characters in the entry, cannot just be mentioned in passing.
​
Rider POV | +1pts for rider & horse bond
For a Rider/Trainer/Human that is bonded with horse and has integrations specifically with them.
​
SHOW ENTIRES

These are on top of the Base Lit Points.

Show Entries | 5pts
Show entries must be a Minimum of 400words. Show entries must clearly link to the official show journal or results at the top of the artist comments.

These are Lit entries that Can only be Counted in this way.
ROLEPLAYS | +1pt per 400 words for each post/reply.
Posts/replies need to be MINIMUM of 300 - 400 words to count for 1 point. RP's are considered a Collab so each person gets points for all posts in the RP. If someone drops out mid RP and doesn't come back, they can only count up to the spot they stopped at.
You cannot use the extra horse/rider POV extra add-on's.
Only completed RP's can be counted.
