Grey Gene Modifer [no alle present at this time]

This gene is still very new, and is untestable. It only happens on Grey horses where there are parts of sooty that will stay dark against the body while the rest of the horse stays white.

Restricted Gene Modifer       -r / -R

Restricted Is an anomaly on White markings and Dilutions* only.

Restricted shows up on any white markings, making them fall between the minimal threshold of the gene.

It can attach itself to any 1 white marking. either making it minimal or in rare cases, hidden.  Breeding 2 -r's will result in a dom -R, in which restricted can attach itself to a dilution gene and cause the dilution to only cover a portion of the horse.

Other Notes:

  • Restricted can fade out genes and not have harsh edges like natural Somatic.

  • Restricted can hide all testable white genes, but Natural White markings(socks and stars/snips/blazes) can still be shown.

  • Restricted can hide Dilutions at minimum 25% all the way to fully hidden.

  • Restricted can only attach to Blue, Cream, Champagne & Pearl Dilutions at the moment*

**may change if and when other dilution genes are released

Restricted is unlocked at sergeant and you can import a -r/-R at that time.

Sunburnt Modifier  -  ns / ss

Because its a gene that is somewhat affected by the sun - in low light conditions, the pinkness is less/almost gone, but in harsh sunlight the horse will develop bright pink/red tones.

No one knows how the gene started but they have deemed a mutated gene because the hairs in the soft parts are somewhat translucent.  Its not very sought after for ACHs that need to be out in the sun working all the time,  because the chance of melanoma is rather high. Thankfully there is sweatproof sunscreen.

Other Notes:

  • Pink skin in the tender soft spots of the horse.

  • Tones can be from bright pink to light red.

  • Most commonly on the Chest & Groin, but also on the Nose, nape/chin area, as well.

  • Sunburnt overlays all other mutations and can be seen on top of white markings.

  • The blue gene tends to make the colors more vibrant, but its not always the case.
